Not to put down his passing... but in the "Whitey" style... at least he doesn't have to kill his doctor now for making him live past 100!...

That's not meant with any disrespect, because anyone who knew Whitey over the years knew that he said he'd do that!.. :) of course in jest!

Rest in peace, my friend.... ham radio started for me when I met Whitey
when on CB radio when I was in high school and went from there. I knew of him and finally met him because he lived just around the corner from where I grew up.... somehow... no matter where I lived or where I settled... Whitey was always there.... sometimes mean and sarcastic... but most often... just putting me to the test... and making me a better person for it.... in person... on the phone... or on the air.....

PLUS... for those of you who didn't know.. Whitey was one hell of a keyboard player... mostly organ... which I also heard him play on many occasions.....

He did so much for so many so subtly in the background.. and now it's our
turn to honor him by doing the very same... no glamour.... no bright
lights... just a loving and caring man... who touched so many with so little
flare and expectation for anything in return... Whitey will always be in
my heart and mind... for what he meant and means to me... and will
forever.... THANKS BIG GUY..... keep riding that BMW bike forever......

I just wish that, one more time I could have heard him say..... "What's a
UEX!"....

Dunkin' Donuts will never be the same.. but ham radio will always be that much better because he pushed us to JUST ENJOY!... and laugh one more time at ourselves.

N1USS looks up to the clouds tonight and says a quiet thank you to a true gentleman and a real ham.....

73 for now Whitey..... and ride the high wave forever, my friend....

Ron, N1USS..... (originally, WA1UEX)....
